Kollmeyer steps down to join Ole Miss broadcast team for SEC Network

FULTON, MS – After 10 years at ICC,
Will Kollmeyer announced on Monday that he would be stepping down from his duties as director of media relations and sports information to join the Ole Miss broadcast team for the SEC Network.

"I've enjoyed my 10 years at ICC, but this has been a lifelong dream of mine to do play-by-play at the Division I level," said Kollmeyer.

"It's been a great 10 years working with Will and you couldn't ask for a better person to work with," said
ICC Athletic Director Carrie Ball-Williamson. "We really, really appreciate the excellent work he's done over those years."

The Madison, Wisconsin native came to ICC after 20-plus years as Sports Director at WTVA and WCBI and has broadcast nearly 700 games while at Itawamba Community College.

"I'm grateful for this opportunity Ole Miss, in conjunction with the SEC Network, is giving me to pursue my dreams," said Kollmeyer. "I equally appreciate all the friendships and comradery I've made at ICC and throughout the MACJC."

Kollmeyer was only 17 when he broadcast his first college football game on the radio. His career highlights include an internship with CNN Sports in Atlanta, halftime reporter for the Jefferson Pilot SEC basketball Game of the Week, former Heisman and Wooden Award voter, and he received Associated Press awards in anchoring and or reporting in 20 of his 21 years in the TV business.
