FULTON, MS – The postseason awards keep rolling in for the Itawamba Community College tennis teams as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced their final National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) rankings for the 2012-13 tennis seasons.
The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 runner-up Indians finished the year ranked No. 21 by the ITA with Lucas Souza (Ilhabela, Brazil) being ranked No. 29 and James Jackson (Clarksdale) No. 78 amongst single competitors.
In doubles play Souza and Matthew Peugh (Shannon) finished the season ranked No. 23 while Jackson and Ambrose Wilson (Clarksdale) earned a No. 48 national ranking.
The ITA is the governing body of collegiate tennis and provides national rankings for DI, DII, DIII, NAIA and JUCO tennis programs.
