Kindle "Bud" Davis began his coaching career at ICC during the 1954-55 basketball season.

At ICC, Bud won five North Division titles, two state championships and his team managed two undefeated seasons.

In 1962, Davis resigned and entered the automobile business in Fulton, later moving to Missouri and Memphis.

He was replaced by his brother Windle "Buster" Davis as head coach of the Indians.
