Ernest Dye was a two-time all-state selection at ICC when he
played for the Indians during the 1989 and 1990 seasons.
He was recruited by a long list of major NCAA Division I programs before he decided to play for his home state University of South Carolina Gamecocks.
Following his collegiate playing days, Phoenix selected him with its eighteenth pick of the first round of the 1993 draft. After starting his share of games on the offensive line with the Cardinals for four seasons, he went to the St. Louis Rams in 1997 and then returned to the now Arizona Cardinals for the 1998 campaign.
