Four ICC Men’s Soccer players earn postseason honors
Four Itawamba Community College’s Men’s Soccer standouts earned postseason honors, according to an announcement today. One was named to the All-Region Team, and three earned All-Conference honors.
Fulton, Miss. – Four Itawamba Community College's Men's Soccer standouts earned postseason honors, according to an announcement today. One was named to the All-Region Team, and three earned All-Conference honors.
Sophomore defender David Marquez (Madrid, Spain) was selected to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 Team. He started all 11 games for the Indians and had one assist on the year.
Freshman midfielder Tyrique Davis (Alabaster, Ala.), sophomore defender Brayden Hellums (Olive Branch) and sophomore midfielder Carson O'Daniel (Tupelo) were named to the Mississippi Association of Community College's Conference North Division First Team.
Both Davis and Hellums started all 11 games. Davis scored one goal and had two assists, while Hellums anchored the back line.
O'Daniel tallied four goals, three assists and 11 points which were all second best on the team.
The Indians finished the season 7-5-1 overall and 5-3 in the North Division to earn a number two seed and advanced to postseason play.
