Pittsboro native Adam Gore is entering his seventh year at Itawamba Community College and his third year as Sports Information Director and Director of Media Relations.
Prior to his joining the ICC staff, Gore had 15 years' experience in television, eight as sports director of W07BN, as well as 15-plus years at numerous newspapers throughout Northeast Mississippi and seven years with the Mississippi Radio Group.
In addition, he operated goresports.net for 10 years, which was one of the top in the southeastern United States dedicated to high school, junior college and collegiate coverage. He has served in a free-lance capacity with Fox Sports South, Fox Sports Southwest, CSS, ESPN, ESPN2 and CBS Sports.
Gore has won more than 100 awards during his career. In 2015, the Sports Information Department won the college's first-ever CPRAM Grand Award for New Media/Social Media.
On his first day as SID, Gore helped ICC gain national attention by landing the men's soccer program on ESPN's SportsCenter Top 10 plays of the day at No. 6 when Anthony Fernandez scored six goals in a match against Southwest Mississippi Community College.
As Assistant SID, Gore worked to help the football team gain national media attention on ESPN and ESPN 2 when the Indians upset the defending National Champion East Mississippi Lions, 24-23, on 43-yard field goal by Tyler Jackson. He also worked with the Fox Sports Sun on a feature covering the career of former football and baseball standout Desmond Jennings.
As Director of Media Relations, he works as a liaison between the college and media outlets in both news coverage and advertising. During his time as Director of Media Relations, ICC's local and regional coverage of athletic and non-athletic events has increased in television, print, and radio.
Gore has degrees from both Itawamba Community College and Northwest Mississippi Community College and is working toward a bachelor's degree inSports Management.
