Nine ICC Student-Athletes Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors
The honor recognizes the nation’s top sophomore student-athletes for their combined performance in competition and in the classroom. The College Division includes two-year programs, Canadian institutions and other schools not affiliated with the NCAA or NAIA divisions.
FULTON, Miss. – There are days when the work happens in front of everybody.
The home runs. The big innings. The late-game stops. The clutch shots. The digs, kills, strikeouts and moments that show up in a box score.
Then there is the work most people never see.
The early-morning classes. The late-night study sessions. The bus rides with laptops open. The missed free time. The pressure of representing a program while still handling the responsibility of being a student.
For nine ICC student-athletes, that full picture has now earned national recognition.
Madden Butler and Andrew Williams of baseball, DJ Davis of men's basketball, Deljay Bailey of football, AB Marlar, Lizzie Meeks and Ramsey Montgomery of softball, and McLaine Dorr and Michael Ann East of volleyball have been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® College Division At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators.
The honor recognizes the nation's top sophomore student-athletes for their combined performance in competition and in the classroom. The College Division includes two-year programs, Canadian institutions and other schools not affiliated with the NCAA or NAIA divisions.
Each honoree was also considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. College Division student-athletes selected as Academic All-America® finalists will move on to the national ballot, which will be voted on by CSC members.
The College Division Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NJCAA governance structure.
