Baseball drops Game 1 to Jones, 14-3

FULTON, MS - The Indians team dropped Game 1, 14-3, to Jones County Junior College on Saturday.
The Indians (16-15, 4-11 MACJC) fell behind 3-0 before Tyreque Reed (Houlka) smashed a three-run home run into the left-field lights to tie the game after two innings complete.
Reed finished 2-for-3 with a walk and three RBI.
The Bobcats (31-2, 14-1 MACJC) pulled away with a five runs in the fifth and one in the seventh before putting the game on ice with five runs in the top of the ninth inning.
Delvin Zinn (Pontotoc) went 3-for-5 with Timothy Rowe (Hernando) and Bryan Malone (Belmont) each added a pair of singles to the Indians' 10-hit performance.
