Indians and Eagles playoff game moved to Tuesday
After moving up to No. 14 in the latest NJCAA rankings, the Indians found out they would have to wait another day before starting the Region 23 Baseball Tournament after Mother Nature forced a six-hour delay on Monday.
POPLARVILLE, MS - After moving up to No. 14 in the latest NJCAA rankings, the Indians found out they would have to wait another day before starting the Region 23 Baseball Tournament after Mother Nature forced a six-hour delay on Monday.
Tournament officials elected to move the Indians game with No. 5 Meridian to Tuesday at 12 p.m. Host No. 3 Pearl River and No. 20 Hinds to follow with the opening pitch scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
No. 2 LSU Eunice defeat No. 15 East Central, 8-5, in the only game played Monday. The Warriors will face the winner between ICC and Meridian in an elimination game for East Central. Eunice will await the winner between Pearl River and Hinds.
