Kylan Carter signs with Delta State
Itawamba Community College sophomore infielder Kylan Carter has signed to play baseball for Delta State next season.
Fulton, Miss. – Itawamba Community College sophomore infielder Kylan Carter has signed to play baseball for Delta State next season.
The Houston native hit .331 in his career at ICC which stretched two-and-a-half seasons due to the COVID-shortened 2020 season. Carter racked up 60 RBI, 14 doubles and seven homeruns in his time in the red and blue.
Last season, Carter hit .360 with 32 RBI, 35 runs scored, nine doubles, five home runs and one stolen base while spending most of the season at second base. He did play some at first base and even had some pitching appearances. On the mound, Carter threw five innings and struck out six with only one walk and finished with a 1-1 record and one save.
In the short 2020 season, Carter had a .300 batting average with 19 RBI, nine runs scored, four doubles and a home run in 14 games.
Carter was a part of the 2019 conference champion squad, hitting .217 with six RBI, nine runs scored, one double and a home run in 13 games.
