Assistant Coach | Team Physical Therapist | Strength and Conditioning Coach
Drew McDonald joined the Itawamba Community College cheerleading staff in 2023, bringing a unique combination of athletic, medical, and strength training expertise to the program. A former Most Valuable Cheerleader at the University of Mississippi in 2010, McDonald went on to earn his Associate of Arts from ICC in 2011, his Bachelor of Arts in Applied Sciences from Ole Miss in 2010, and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2016.
McDonald’s favorite coaching memories include the team’s relentless work ethic, particularly during early morning workouts, and witnessing their drive to improve—even after a second-place finish in 2025. In addition to his role at ICC, he is a CrossFit Level 1 Coach.
He has been married to Marissa McDonald since 2011 and is the proud father of three daughters: Ellie Ann, Isla, and Aspen.
