Indians Battle Early, Fall Late at No. 4 Northwest
The Indians ended its 2025 football season with a 24-7 loss to No. 4 Northwest Mississippi on Thursday night in Senatobia.
SENATOBIA, Miss - The Indians ended its 2025 football season with a 24-7 loss to No. 4 Northwest Mississippi on Thursday night in Senatobia. The result left ICC at 5-4 overall and 4-2 in conference play, just outside the postseason field.
The Indians opened strong in the second quarter. Deljay Bailey connected with Tavaris Coles for an 11-yard touchdown to cap an 86-yard drive. Eli Burciaga's extra point made it 7-0.
Northwest (8-1, 5-1 MACCC North) answered late in the half with a 4-yard touchdown pass. The Rangers took control in the second half with a 21-yard field, 16-yard touchdown pass and 15-yard scoring run.
ICC finished with 255 total yards, including 184 passing and 71 rushing. Marcellus Jackson caught nine passes for 122 yards to lead all receivers. Bailey threw for 184 yards and one touchdown on 22-of-32 passing while rushing for 29 yards on 15 carries.
On defense, Amir Scarver led the Indians with four tackles, including two tackles for loss for nine yards. Orel Gray, Landon Richardson, Kole Caldwell, and Quantarrius Dawson each recorded four total tackles. Caldwell added a tackle for loss and a quarterback hurry, while Jeremiah Harris broke up a pass.
Northwest managed 230 yards of total offense and clinched a playoff berth with the win.
