FULTON, MS – Sophomore Tyrone Wooten announced his verbal commitment to Louisiana-Lafayette late Tuesday night.
The Memphis, TN native averaged 13.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 42.9-percent from the floor, 37.1-percent from behind the arch, and 83-percent from the free throw line to help lead the Indians to the MACJC Championship as a freshman.
Wooten, a 6'4 shooting guard, has additional offers from UC-Bakersfield and UT-Martin.
Louisiana-Lafayette won the 2013-14 Sun Belt Conference championship and finished 23-12 on the season while advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before being eliminated by Creighton.
ICC will take on Lawson State (Nov 3) in the first of three-straight games at the Davis Event Center to open the 2014-15 basketball season.
