In their first home game in almost a month, the Itawamba Community College men’s basketball team put on a show for the home crowd led by the duo of Charles Brown (New Orleans, LA) and Brian Halums (Hollandale) who scored 20 plus point each in the 82-60 win over Wallace State Community College-Selma (AL) on Wednesday.
The Itawamba Community College men’s basketball team and Shelton State Community College needed overtime to decide their battle Monday night, but the visiting Indians came up just short in the overtime period, falling 80-74.
Jones County Junior College defeated the Itawamba Community College men’s basketball team 109-80 Thursday night lead by five players who scored 13 points or more.
In a game that saw nine lead changes and five ties, the Indians saw Shelton State Community College take care of business from the free throw line down the stretch to escape Fulton with a 59-54 victory.
Quenten Taylor (Edison, GA) scored the final eight of his 14 from the free throw line to help the Indians outlast the Lurleen B. Wallace Saints, 75-66, and pick up their first win of the season.

The ICC men’s basketball team narrowly missed making the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) tournament last season, but will look to amend that in 2016-17.
