Indians drop overtime heartbreak at Holmes

GOODMAN, MS - The Indians battled through overtime in a heartbreaking 84-82 loss to Holmes Community College.

The Indians fought with determination, delivering a strong first half that saw them take a commanding 41-28 lead. Holmes responded with a furious second-half comeback, outscoring Itawamba 43-30 to force overtime.

The game remained a back-and-forth fight in overtime, where the Indians delivered what seemed to be the game's defining moment. With the clock winding down, Dayveon Anderson hit a clutch three-pointer to take the lead in the final seconds. The Bulldogs, electing not to take a timeout, rushed the floor and fired off a desperation three at the buzzer—watching it fall through the net as time expired to steal the victory.

AJ Dent led the charge with 19 points and seven rebounds, providing a steady presence inside. Jaden Harper was a difference-maker off the bench, draining four three-pointers and finishing with 20 points. Dayveun Anderson controlled the tempo, adding 11 points and dishing out six assists.
