DECATUR, Ala. — The Indians used a blistering shooting night and a decisive first-half surge to outlast Calhoun Community College, 96–90.
ICC shot 57.8 percent from the field and 52.2 percent from three, building a 42–30 halftime lead before holding off a late push from the Warhawks.
Tim Holliday came off the bench to lead ICC with 28 points on 9-of-10 shooting, including five three-pointers. Damarion Winston added 17 points, seven rebounds and a game-high 10 assists, recording a double-double while directing an offense that finished with 26 assists on 37 made baskets.
Jaden Harper contributed 14 points and six assists, while Jordan Frazier provided 11 points off the bench. DJ Davis chipped in 11 points and three steals. The Indians' reserves combined for 47 points.
ICC controlled the first half, turning efficient perimeter shooting into a 12-point advantage at the break. Calhoun closed the gap behind a 60-point second half, but the Indians maintained composure at key moments to secure the road victory.
The Indians will be back in action on Thursday when they host Shelton State.
