MOBILE, Ala. — The Indians overcame a significant free-throw disparity and delivered a complete team effort to defeat Bishop State 78–71 on Monday.
The Indians shot 47.4 percent from the field and led the entire way, building a 41–36 halftime advantage before closing out a physical road contest. Despite Bishop State making more free throws (26) than ICC attempted (25), the Indians relied on efficiency, rebounding and balanced scoring to secure the win.
Damarion Winston paced the Indians with 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists while going 3-for-4 from deep and 7-for-11 at the line. Kyler Fox added 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists, finishing 6-of-7 from the floor. Jaden Harper contributed 12 points and two steals, and Tim Holiday matched him with 12 points off the bench.
DJ Davis posted seven rebounds and three assists, and Jason Johnson added six boards to help the Indians win the rebounding battle 36–28.
