FULTON, Miss. – The Indians came out with purpose and never let up against Copiah-Lincoln, building a 16-point halftime cushion and cruising to a 79-55 win.
ICC poured in 40 first-half points and carried a 40-24 lead into the break, then matched that energy after halftime with 39 more points to keep the Wolves at arm's length the rest of the way.
Jason Johnson set the tone with one of his most efficient offensive nights of the season, scoring 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting and knocking down both of his three-point attempts. Damarion Winston paced the offense with 15 points, three assists, and three steals. DJ Davis was perfect from the arc, drilling all four of his threes on the way to 12 points. Tim Holliday delivered 11 points off the bench.
KJ Patrick's line did not include points, but his impact was real. He handed out seven assists, battled for five rebounds.
(Update Jan. 23) The Pearl River games scheduled for Monday have been moved to Saturday, January 31, due to winter weather issues.
