Indians Beat Southwest Behind 22 Assists

FULTON, Miss. - No crowd. No band. No normal game-night rhythm. A major water line break in the City of Fulton closed the gym to the public and left only essential personnel in the DEC.
The Indians (16-6, 7-1 MACCC) walked into that setup and beat Southwest Mississippi (10-12, 4-2 MACCC) 86-70.
The battle for first place turned right after halftime. The Indians led 39-27 at the break, then opened the second half on a 10-0 run that stretched it quickly. The lead hit 28 at its peak, and ICC stayed in front the rest of the way.
ICC shot 50.8% from the floor, hit 11 threes, and finished with 22 assists against nine turnovers.
DJ Davis and Tim Holliday led the way with 16 each, and each hit four threes. Jaden Harper added 13. Damarion Winston finished with 12 points and eight assists with zero turnovers. Jason Johnson grabbed 12 rebounds, and Kyler Fox finished with four blocks.
Southwest closed on a 12-0 run to trim the final margin, but the separation came in the first stretch out of halftime.
ICC will be travel to Hinds (12-10, 2-4 MACCC) on Monday.
