Winston Named MACCC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year
ICC men’s basketball standout Damarion Winston has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Year.
FULTON, Miss. – ICC men's basketball standout Damarion Winston has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Men's Basketball Player of the Year, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Winston was the driving force behind the Indians' success throughout the year, leading the team with 16.5 points per game along with 181 assists to help ICC capture its first MACCC Regular Season Championship since the 2013-14 season, finishing with a dominant conference record and establishing itself as one of the league's premier teams.
His impact extended into the postseason, where Winston continued to shine against top competition. He earned NJCAA Region 23 All-Tournament Team honors after a string of standout performances during ICC's tournament run. In the championship game against Jones, Winston delivered a career-best performance, pouring in 36 points in a hard-fought 102-96 overtime loss.
The Indians finished the 2025-26 season with a 24-7 overall record with a 13-1 mark in MACCC play, the 2025-26 MACCC Regular Season Title and an appearance in the Region 23 Championship.
