"Academics have been and always will be our top priority here at ICC," said Athletic Director Carrie Ball-Williamson. "We are extremely proud of all our student-athletes and the success they've had in the classroom along with the success in their given sports."
“I’m really proud of these guys,” said Coach David Rather. “There’s a lot of hard work that goes into being a student-athlete on this level that people may or may not realize. So this a big honor for these guys to be able to succeed in the classroom as well as on the golf course.”
Taylor Vaughn (Ackerman) earned the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Exemplary Academic Achievement Award after finishing the 2013-14 school year with a 3.77 GPA.
The ICC golf team opened the 2014 season in Gulfport at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Invitational at the Great Southern Golf Club on Sunday.
