Indians Earn Top 10 Finish in Jim Redgate Invitational

MERIDIAN, Miss. - The Indians competed at the 2025 Jim Redgate Invitational, hosted by Meridian Community College at Briarwood Golf Club, and finished ninth with a team total of +51.
Gulf Coast claimed the team title at nine-under. The individual medalists were Paul Hoefer of Gulf Coast, Bastian Graf of Jones, and Dax Reaux of Meridian, who each finished at three-under.
Katch Edge led the Indians with a two-day total of 153 (+9) to finish tied for 22nd overall. He opened with a 79 (+7) and followed with a 74 (+2), posting the team's lowest round of the tournament on day two to move up the leaderboard.
Max King finished tied for 24th at 154 (+10). He carded a 78 (+6) in the first round and added a 76 (+4) in round two, delivering two steady scores to stay among the top 25 players in the field. Harvey Taylor placed in a tie for 36th with a total score of 158 (+14). He shot 78 (+6) in the opening round before closing with an 80 (+8) in the final round. Brooks McLemore tied for 48th with a two-day total of 162 (+18). He recovered from an opening-round 83 (+11) to post a 79 (+7) on the second day. Andrew Freeman finished 61st at 170 (+26). He recorded rounds of 86 (+14) and 84 (+12) to complete play for the Indians.
The Indians are scheduled to compete in the Delta State Invitational on October 20-21.
