Indians tie for 10th at Lou Hart Invitational
The Itawamba Community College golf team finished tied for 10th place at the Lou Hart Invitational, held at the Northwood Country Club in Meridian.
MERIDIAN, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College golf team finished tied for 10th place at the Lou Hart Invitational, held at the Northwood Country Club in Meridian.
Leading the way for the Indians was Max King, who delivered a strong performance to finish tied for ninth individually. King opened the tournament with a 72 (+1) before following it up with a 74 (+3) in the second round, giving him a two-round total of 146 (+4) to secure a top-10 finish.
Harvey Taylor also put together a solid outing, bouncing back from a first-round 78 (+7) with an improved 73 (+2) in round two. Taylor's efforts earned him a tie for 26th place with a total score of 151 (+9).
Malone Richardson finished tied for 47th after carding a 73 (+2) in the opening round and an 82 (+11) in the second, ending with a 155 (+13) overall.
Brooks McLemore placed 65th with rounds of 82 (+11) and 84 (+13), finishing at 166 (+24), while Katch Edge rounded out the ICC lineup with a tie for 66th. Edge posted rounds of 81 (+10) and 86 (+15) for a total of 167 (+25).
The Indians will hit the links again April 13-14 for the MACCC Championship Tournament held at The Club at Ole Brook in Brookhaven.
