Wise Named Men’s Golf Coach

FULTON, Miss. – Itawamba Community College has named Pontotoc native and national championship golfer Jackson Wise its new men's golf coach.
Wise brings firsthand knowledge of what it takes to compete at the highest level of junior college golf. He helped Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College capture the 2024 NJCAA Division II National Championship and the 2024 MACCC Championship.
"Jackson understands this conference and knows what it takes to build a championship program," ICC Athletic Director Dr. Chad Case said. "His success as a student-athlete, familiarity with our area and ability to connect with young golfers made him a great fit for ICC. We are excited to welcome him to the ICC family."

Wise earned medalist honors at the 2024 MACCC Championship after shooting a seven-under 137. He finished his sophomore season ranked No. 10 nationally with two individual victories, four top-three finishes and a 73.3 scoring average.
He continued his career at NCAA Division I Austin Peay State University, competing in six tournaments during the 2025-26 season and earning Athletic Director's Honor Roll recognition in both semesters.
Wise is a graduate of North Pontotoc High School, where he finished as the Class 4A state runner-up in 2021.
