Amory's Summers, Trautman, Thomas sign with the Indians

AMORY, MS – Itawamba Community College head coach Mike Sullivan announced the addition of Amory High School standouts Joseph Summers, Garrett Trautman and Evan Thomas to the Indians 2013 roster on Thursday.
"We're really excited about what these three players have the potential of bringing to the team," said Sullivan. "Coach [Cody] Carson did a great job recruiting these guys and we are looking forward to them coming in and making an impact right away next year."
Summers, a midfielder/defender, has 43 steals and two assist on the season.
"I'm really excited to be part of a program like ICC has had over the years. I'm looking forward to playing and happy for the opportunity to take my game to the next level," said Summers, who is also a member of the tennis team.
Trautman, a forward, has scored seven goals to go along with three assists and 25 goals on the year.
"Playing at ICC is a great opportunity and I'm really happy to be part of the team," commented Trautman, who also plays tennis and is a member of the swim team.
Thomas, a midfielder/defender, has one goal and one assist for Coach Nathan Stanley and the Panthers.
"I'm excited to be able to play college soccer and look forward to be able to play with a lot of talented players next season," Thomas said.
"These are three great guys that I've known my whole life," said Amory alumnus and ICC assistant coach Cody Carson. "I'm really happy that all three of them are coming to part of the program. I know they are going to be great additions to the team and help us with our quest to get back in the playoffs."
