The men’s soccer team continues to shine in the academic spotlight after league Commissioner Jim Southward announced the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Academic Teams of the Year on Thursday.

FULTON, MS – The men's soccer team continues to shine in the academic spotlight after league commissioner Jim Southward announced the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Academic Teams of the Year on Thursday.
For a second-straight year, the program has been named MACJC Academic Team of the Year for men's soccer after finishing the 2014-15 school year with a 3.32 team GPA – a mark that ranked second best amongst National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) programs.
Individuals earning postseason academic honors include: Piercen Burchfield (Pontotoc), Ricky Hackler (Columbus), Jerry Malli (Tupelo), Evan Thomas (Amory), Brayden Timmons (Pontotoc), Garrett Trautman (Amory), Michael Wathen (Amory) and Drew Williams (Tupelo).
Only student-athletes that have complete three semesters are eligible for postseason academic honors.
