Four ICC men’s soccer players move on to the next level

FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College men's soccer coach Mike Sullivan has announced that four more sophomores will be continue their careers at the next level.
Garrett Trautman of Amory will continue his career at Missouri S&T. Dylan Howard of Starkville heads south to play for Mississippi College. Olive Branch natives Karter Porter and Carson Hughes will also continue their careers with Porter headed to Huntingdon College and Hughes to Millsaps College.
Trautman saw time in every game and helped the Indians earn a 13-4 and the programs first home playoff game. The midfielder earned National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence and will join the Miners who finished 8-8-2 last season and compete in NCAA Division II's Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Howard racked up eight, goals, 11 assist and 27 points to earn NJCAA All-Region 23 honors. The team captain was also named to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) North All-Star team. He will join the Choctaws who finished 12-6-2 last season and compete in NCAA Division II's Gulf South Conference.
Porter finished with one goal, one assist and three points during the historic season. The midfielder will join the Hawks who finished 2-10-5 last season and compete in NCAA Division III's USA South Athletic Conference.
Hughes saw action in five games last season for the two time NJCAA Academic National Champion men's squad. He will join the Majors who are coming off a 13-6 season and compete in NCAA Division III's Southern Athletic Conference.
The men's soccer program has had a record 11 members from last season's squad signed to continue their careers as student-athletes next season.
