Indians hold on to win thriller over Hinds, 4-3
The Indians were able to hold off a late rally by the Hinds Eagles on Friday to pick up a crucial conference win on Friday.

RAYMOND, Miss. – The Indians were able to hold off a late rally by the Hinds Eagles on Friday to pick up a crucial conference win on Friday.
Billy Gipp (London, England) put the Indians up 1-0 on a penalty kick early in the contest, but the Eagles (3-8-1, 3-4-0 MACCC) found the equalizer in the ninth minute of the match.
Hinds took a 2-1 advantage in the fourteenth minute, but the Indians (6-4-2, 3-3-1 MACCC) pulled even when Christian Holman (Olive Branch) scored off an assist from Gipp just before the close of the first half.
JB Purvis (Byhalia) put the Indians up 3-2 off an assist from Anthony Jones (Oxford) early in the second half. Shortly after, Jones would score the eventual game-winning goal off an assist from Gage Lashlee (Olive Branch).
The Eagles pulled within one on a long-range free kick, but the Indians were able to hang on for the win over their rivals.
Christian Mahan (Southaven) allowed three goals and made nine saves in a complete effort in net.
