Four men’s soccer players sign to the next level
Four members of the Itawamba Community College men’s soccer team have signed to continue their playing careers at four-year universities.

Alfredo Guerra - Young Harris College
SO - D - 5'11 175 - Capaccio, Italy
As a defender and anchor for the Indians' defense, Guerra made it difficult for opposing teams to move the soccer ball. He earned Second Team All-Conference honors from the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) following the 2024 season. Based in Young Harris, Ga., the Mountain Lions compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and are a member of Conference Carolinas.
Elijah Belk - Delta State University
SO - S/M - 6'0 185 - Oxford
Belk started in 15 games during the 2024 season, scoring three goals while picking up three assists and nine points. As a freshman, Belk scored two goals as he picked up an assist with five points. The Statesmen compete in the Gulf South Conference and are a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II member.
Leander Breidenbruecker - University of Missouri-St. Louis
FR - S/M - 6'2 160 - Bizau, Austria
In his lone season with the Indians, Breidenbruecker appeared in 18 games with five starts in which he scored two goals with four assists and eight points. Located in St. Louis, Mo., the Tritons compete in NCAA Division II and are a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).
Luke Dearsley - Delta State University
SO - M - 5'8 165 - Sydney, Australia
Dearsley joins Elijah Belk at Delta State after finishing his sophomore season with seven goals on 12 shots on goal. He scored a career-high two goals in the Indians' 8-3 win over Holmes on Oct. 1. His performance throughout the season earned First Team All-MACCC honors.
