Ridgeland, MS – The Indians started its conference slate on a strong note Tuesday night, shutting out Holmes Community College 3-0.
The Indians struck early with two quick goals. Villads Juma found the net in the 12th minute off a pass from Will Barber, and just two minutes later Jay Sanders scored his first of the night with help from Isaac Peñate. Sanders added a second goal in the 62nd minute, this time assisted by Aiden Dodge, to close out the scoring.
Hagan Pearce finished with three saves to record the shutout, his first of the season.
