Juma, Pearce earn MACCC Player of the Week honors

FULTON, Miss. – Itawamba Community College men's soccer players Villads Juma and Hagan Pearce have earned Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors, the conference announced on Tuesday.

A freshman from Helsingør, Denmark, Juma picked up his second MACCC Player of the Week honor of the season as he continued his strong freshman campaign with three goals and two assists in the Indians' 6-0 win over Southwest.

Pearce, a freshman goalkeeper from Peppertown, was a defensive force in front of the net throughout the week. He tallied a complete 90-minute effort in ICC's 1-1 draw with No. 11 Hinds before adding 45 minutes of shutout play in the 6-0 victory over Southwest.

The Indians will be back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 14, when they face Meridian on the road at 7 p.m.
