FULTON, Miss. – The Indians pulled off a thrilling 2-1 victory over No. 7 Jones, handing the Bobcats their first loss in 12 matches.
Jones (11-3-1, 6-1-1 MACCC) struck first, taking a 1-0 lead with just under seven minutes left in the first half.
Villads Jumas answered off an assist from Issac Penate to tie the game with 39:30 remaining.
Will Barber gave the Indians (9-2-3, 5-0-3 MACCC) the lead for good, scoring off an assist from Ferri Guilherme inside the final 13 minites to secure the 2-1 win.
Hagan Pearce had four saves in the match to help the Indians secure the victory.
The Indians will host No. 12 Pearl River on Tuesday.
