Perkinston, Miss. — Itawamba Community College bounced back from a narrow 2-1 loss earlier in the week to knock off Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College 1-0 in Friday's Region 23 Tournament quarterfinals.
Jeremiah Dudley scored the lone goal for the Indians with less than 10 minutes remaining, connecting with a feed from Shota Kawagoe in the 81st minute to break a scoreless deadlock.
Indians' keeper Hagan Pearce was solid in net, making five saves to preserve the shutout and the victory.
The game was physical, with four yellow cards issued in the second half alone. But ICC maintained composure down the stretch, advancing to the Region 23 semifinals.
