Four ICC Men’s Soccer Players Earn All-MACCC Honors
Four Itawamba Community College men’s soccer players have earned postseason recognition from the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference.
FULTON, Miss. – Four Itawamba Community College men's soccer players have earned postseason recognition from the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference.
Striker Villads Juma was selected to the First Team All-MACCC after a standout freshman season. The Helsingor, Denmark native led ICC with 20 goals, the second-highest single-season total in program history. He recorded two hat tricks, earned two MACCC Offensive Player of the Week honors and was named NJCAA Division II Player of the Week once.
Will Barber capped his ICC career with Second Team All-MACCC honors. The Maidstone, England native scored seven goals, third-most on the team, and delivered one of the season's defining moments with the game-winning strike that lifted the Indians past seventh-ranked Jones.
Adam White also earned Second Team All-MACCC recognition. The freshman from Montreuil, France registered three goals, two assists and eight points, including ICC's lone goal in a draw with 11th-ranked Hinds.
Guilherme Ferri, a freshman from Bady Bassitt, Brazil, rounded out ICC's Second Team selections. He finished with three goals, three assists and nine points. Ferri produced a highlight moment with a midfield strike that helped spark a victory over eighth-ranked Pearl River.
ICC concluded the season with an 11-4-4 overall record and a 6-1-4 mark in conference play while advancing to the Region 23 semifinals. The Indians earned wins over seventh and eighth-ranked opponents and recorded a draw against the 11th-ranked team while receiving votes in the final NJCAA rankings.
