Juma Named MACCC Men’s Soccer Player of the Year

FULTON, Miss. – Itawamba Community College's Villads Juma has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference men's soccer player of the year.

Juma, a striker from Helsingor, Denmark, delivered an impressive freshman campaign, leading ICC with 20 goals, the second-highest single-season total in program history. He notched two hat tricks during the season, the first in an 8-1 win over Oxford Emory and the second in a 6-0 victory over Southwest.

His performances earned him two MACCC offensive player of the week selections, an NJCAA Division II player of the week honor and a spot on the All-MACCC first team.

ICC finished the season with an 11-4-4 overall record and a 6-1-4 mark in conference play, including wins over the seventh- and eighth-ranked teams in the country and a tie with the No. 11 team while receiving votes in the final NJCAA rankings.
