Indians finish No. 14, Moreira No. 18 in final ITA rankings

FULTON, Miss. – The ICC men's tennis program finished their historic 2024 season ranked 14th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division I rankings.

The Indians posted 10-4 overall and 8-2 conference records while also making an appearance in the NJCAA Region 23 Championship Match against Jones.

During the NJCAA National DI Tennis Tournament last month, the Indians played in seven consolation bracket finals and earned 15.5 points to finish 13th in 29-team tournament, which was the second-best finish for a Mississippi-based program playing in the tournament.

Tasso Moreira was also ranked No. 18 among the nation's best Singles players in the ITA rankings. During the national tournament, Moreira advanced to the championship bracket quarterfinals of the Flight 1 Singles. He was also named to the All-MACCC Men's Tennis Team after his performance in the Region 23 Tournament.
