WESSON, Miss. – The No. 23 Indians dropped a narrow 5-4 road decision against No. 16 Co-Lin on Tuesday.
In doubles play, the Indians claimed two of the three matches to take an early 2-1 advantage. At No. 2, Andrea Cattaneo and Andrej Tasevski earned an 8-5 victory, while Matthew Durrett and Jacob Christ secured an 8-6 win at No. 3. Co-Lin's lone doubles point came at No. 1, where Josue Segrelles Tronchoni and Kole Kusek fell, 8-1.
In singles action, ICC picked up wins on two courts. Kusek delivered a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 4, and Christ battled to a 6-3, 7-6 win at No. 5.
However, the Wolves secured the team victory by taking four singles matches. Segrelles Tronchoni dropped a 6-1, 6-4 decision at No. 1, while Cattaneo fell in three sets, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 2. Tasevski was defeated 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3, and Durrett fell 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6.
No. 23 ICC will be back in action on Friday, March 27, when they host No. 24 East Central at the Johnson-Partlow Tennis Courts, starting at 12 p.m.
