ICC signs Eupora's Lexie Boykin for next season
Boykin, a utility player, is a five-time All-District selection with a .414 batting average and .438 on-base percentage along with 94 stolen bases and 84 RBIs in five seasons with Coach Trae Embry and the Lady Eagles.
Itawamba Community College head softball coach Andy Kirk announced the signing of Eupora High School standout Lexie Boykin.
"I'm excited," Boykin said about signing with ICC. "I'm excited about meeting all the girls, making new friends and just becoming a Lady Indian. When I first went to tour [ICC] I feel in love with the campus because everyone was really nice and I loved the one-on-one attention I received while I was on my tour."

"Lexie has contributed a lot to our program," said Embry. "She started playing for us as an eighth grader and has been part a lot of championships that has given her a lot of experience. As an athlete, she is probably one of the best athletes I have coached throughout my career. I feel like she can bring a lot to the ICC program.
In 2008 Boykin helped lead the Lady Eagles to a runner-up finish in the 2008 MHSAA Class 2A State Championship series as a designated hitter.
"We are extremely excited to bring a player like Lexie into our program," said Kirk. "She is a utility-type player that can play a lot of positions. Defensively, we look to be able to move her around to a lot of different places on the field. Offensively, she brings a lot of speed and has a lot of God-given talent. Overall, she is the type of student athletes we look to recruit and we look forward to having her next season."
