Lady Indians beat Pearl River, fall to Jones in Region 23
In their second game of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Tournament at Traceway Park in Clinton the Lady Indians recorded another first when they won their fist-ever fast pitch playoff game with a 14-3 win over Pearl River Community College in five innings on Friday.

In their second game of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Tournament at Traceway Park in Clinton the Lady Indians recorded another first when they won their fist-ever fast pitch playoff game with a 14-3 win over Pearl River Community College in five innings on Friday.
ICC (34-13) scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning highlighted by a two-run double by Kami Roberts, a two-run single by Anna Holley and a two-run home run by Jessi Patterson, in back-to-back-to-back at bats. The Lady Indians added four more runs in the third on a RBI singles by Holley, Patterson and Jasna Clay.
Mallory Hill added a pair of doubles to help Rebecca Sloan get the win. Patterson's home run was her 14th of the season, leaving her one shy of tying former ICC All-American CeCee Austin's record for most home runs in a season.
The Lady Indians battled through seven hard-fought innings in a 2-1 season-ending loss to the No. 3 Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats (41-8). Hill singled and added a solo home run in the top of the fourth.
ICC finished the season setting the record for most wins in a season (34), most division wins in a season (22), and won the team's second Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) North Division championship.
