No. 11 Indians split at Snead State
The Indians rebounded from a Game 1 loss with a 12-6 win in Game 2
Game 1: Snead State 9, No. 11 Indians 1 (5 innings)
The Parsons used four runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth to hand the Indians a 9-1 loss in 5 innings on Friday.
The Indians' lone run of the game came in the fifth inning when Chloe Morgan was hit by a pitch, stole second base, and scored on a double by McKenzie Patterson.
Patterson had two of the Indians' three hits in the game, both were doubles.
Game 2: No. 11 Indians 12, Snead State 6
Leading 3-2, the Indians got four runs in the top of the second. Ali Settlemires singled and scored on a double by Hope Harbin. Ivy Watts drove in a pair of runs with a double before Patterson singled in the final run of the inning.
The Indians added two more runs in the fourth when Mattie Meine scored on a sac fly by Summer Cryder and Harbin scored on a single by Patterson. ICC put the games on ice with a run in the fifth and two in the seventh to earn the split.
Watts went 3-for-5 with six RBI and two runs scored while Harbin went 3-for-4 with 4 runs and 2 RBI in the win.
Madison Burrus picked up the win after scattering four earned runs on seven hits and two walks in five innings of work.
