ICC Softball completes coaching staff
ICC Head Softball Coach Andy Kirk has completed his staff for the spring season with the addition of Rick Lawson and Kelly Beth Earnest.
Fulton, Miss. – Itawamba Community College Head Softball Coach Andy Kirk has completed his staff for the spring season with the addition of Rick Lawson and Kelly Beth Earnest.
Lawson has been named as the Indians' assistant coach after volunteering on Kirk's staff last season. Prior to ICC, he was an assistant coach at both Biggersville and Tishomingo County High Schools. He was also head coach at Biggersville from 2012-16 where he was named 1-1A Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2016. At Tishomingo County Lawson was also part of the 1-4A Coaching Staff of the Year in 2019.
Earnest, who will fill the volunteer assistant coach role this season, played at Harding University and Blue Mountain College. The Selmer, Tenn. native has also coached the Blue Angels travel softball team.
The Indians and coaches are participating in fall workouts in preparation for the 2021 spring season.
