No. 6 ICC opens Region Tournament against host No. 5 Co-Lin
ICC's softball program will compete in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament starting Wednesday at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
Fulton, Miss. – Itawamba Community College's softball program will compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Tournament starting Wednesday at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
The No. 6 Indians, who will be the No. 6 seed in the tournament, will play in the No. 1 seed Co-Lin at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The double-elimination tournament features five nationally-ranked teams: No.4 Jones, No. 5 Co-Lin, No. 6 ICC, No. 8 LSU-Eunice and No. 13 Northwest.
No. 3 seed Jones and No. 4 seed Northeast will open the tournament at 12 p.m. Wednesday. No. 2 seed LSU-Eunice and No. 5 seed Northwest will follow at 2:30 p.m.
With a win on Wednesday, ICC will face the loser of the Jones and Northeast game at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. An opening game loss would put ICC in an elimination game Thursday at 12 p.m. against the loser of LSU-Eunice and Northwest game. Click here to view bracket
The championship game is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Saturday. If needed, the second championship game will start 2:30 p.m.
