Indians Ranked 14th in Latest NJCAA Poll

FULTON, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College softball team slipped to No. 14 in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Top 25 poll, the NJCAA announced Monday.
The Indians, ranked No. 13 a week ago, are coming off a split in a road doubleheader at Southwest. ICC dropped the opener, 12-6, before bouncing back with an 8-3 victory in game two.
At the plate, AB Marlar continues to lead the way with a .448 batting average, followed by Kaylin Lynch at .358. Marlar and Taylar Shands share the team lead with 32 runs batted in on the season.
In the circle, Ramsey Montgomery owns a 1.86 earned run average, while Lizzie Meeks holds a 2.61 mark. Meeks leads the team with 11 wins, with Montgomery close behind at nine. Montgomery currently has 149 strikeouts on the season and Meeks has 89.
The 14th-ranked Indians will be back in action on Tuesday, March 31, when they host East Mississippi with the Guaranty Bank opening pitch scheduled for 2 p.m. at Andy Kirk Field.
