Indians Ranked No. 14 in NJCAA Poll

FULTON, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College softball team dropped a spot to No. 14 in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Top 25 Rankings, the NJCAA announced Tuesday.
The Indians, who were ranked No. 13 in last week's poll, opened the week with a dominant road sweep of Coahoma, securing a 12-0 victory in game one followed by a 19-1 win in game two. ICC closed the week with a road doubleheader at then-No. 5 Co-Lin, falling 8-0 in game one and 11-3 in game two.
Offensively, AB Marlar leads the Indians with a .425 batting average, 41 RBIs, and 13 home runs. Ella Duhon is hitting .333 on the season, while Taylar Shands has driven in a team-high 42 runs.
In the circle, Ramsey Montgomery owns a 1.77 ERA with 177 strikeouts, while Lizzie Meeks holds a 2.21 ERA and leads the team with 14 wins. Montgomery follows with 11 victories, and Meeks has added 110 strikeouts.
No. 14 ICC returns to action Wednesday, April 15, hosting rival No. 20 Northeast for a doubleheader at Andy Kirk Field, starting at 2 p.m.
