Montgomery Named NFCA All-Region After Record-Breaking Season
Montgomery’s selection came after one of the top pitching seasons in ICC’s history.
FULTON, Miss. – Ramsey Montgomery's record-setting season in the circle has earned national recognition.
The Itawamba Community College standout was named to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) NJCAA Division II South Region Second Team, placing her among 78 student-athletes from 30 programs recognized across the country.
Montgomery's selection came after one of the top pitching seasons in ICC's history. She set the program's modern-day single-season strikeout record with 205 strikeouts while finishing the year with a 14-8 record and a 2.39 earned run average.
Her consistency gave the Indians one of the league's top arms throughout the season. Montgomery was named MACCC Pitcher of the Week twice and also earned NJCAA Division II Pitcher of the Week honors.
The NFCA All-Region teams honor softball student-athletes from the association's three NJCAA Division II regions with first and second-team selections. Honorees were nominated and voted on by NFCA member head coaches from their respective regions.
With the all-region selection, Montgomery is now eligible for consideration for the 2026 NFCA NJCAA Division II All-America teams.
