Montgomery Caps Historic ICC Career with Second Straight All-America Honor
Montgomery was named to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association NJCAA Division II All-America Second Team, earning All-America recognition for the second straight season.
FULTON, Miss. – Ramsey Montgomery spent the 2026 season giving Itawamba Community College a chance every time she stepped into the circle.
Now, she has another national honor to show for it.
Montgomery was named to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association NJCAA Division II All-America Second Team, earning All-America recognition for the second straight season and adding another chapter to one of the most decorated pitching careers in modern ICC softball history.
The NFCA announced its 2026 NJCAA Division II All-America teams Tuesday afternoon, with 36 student-athletes from 15 schools selected to one of two national teams.
Montgomery, an at-large pitcher selection, was one of the steady forces behind another strong season for the Indians. Her consistency in the circle helped ICC climb as high as No. 10 in the NJCAA Division II rankings, finish 35-17 overall and earn a berth in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament.
She also made program history along the way, setting the modern-day single-season strikeout record with 205 strikeouts while finishing the year as one of the top arms in the MACCC.
Along with her All-America honor, Montgomery was named to the 2026 NFCA NJCAA Division II South Region Second Team and earned Second Team All-MACCC recognition.
Her season also included two MACCC Pitcher of the Week honors and one NJCAA Division II Pitcher of the Week award.
NFCA All-Region and All-America athletes must be nominated by their NFCA-member head coach, voted on by coaches in their region and ultimately selected by elected NJCAA Division II All-America committee members.
