Porter, Meeks Sign To The Next Level
Softball players Maddie Porter and Lizzie Meeks have recently signed to continue their careers at four-year institutions.
FULTON, Miss. – Softball players Maddie Porter and Lizzie Meeks have recently signed to continue their careers at four-year institutions.
Porter signed with Spring Hill College and Meeks signed with the University of North Alabama.
Porter capped off her ICC career as one of the Indians' most productive offensive players. Porter appeared in 83 plate appearances and hit .413 while posting a .537 on-base percentage and an .857 slugging percentage. She collected 26 hits, including seven doubles and seven home runs, drove in 24 runs, scored 22 times and added 11 stolen bases. One of her top performances came on Feb. 14 against Marion Military, when she went 2-for-3 at the plate with four RBI in ICC's 11-2 victory.
Porter's new Badgers team competes in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and is a member of NCAA Division II.
Meeks was a dominant presence in the Indians' pitching staff, finishing the year with 119 strikeouts, 14 wins and a 2.32 ERA. She earned MACCC Pitcher of the Week honors twice, NJCAA Division II Pitcher of the Week once and was named All-MACCC Honorable Mention. One of her top performances came on March 21 against then-No. 15 Hinds, when she struck out 12 batters in a 4-2 ICC victory.
Meeks joins the Lions that compete in the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) and are a member of NCAA Division I.
The Indians wrapped up the 2026 season with a 35-17 overall record and a 17-11 mark in MACCC play. ICC climbed as high as No. 10 in the NJCAA Division II rankings during the season and earned a berth in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament.
