No. 11 Shelton State rallies to defeat the Lady Indians

The No. 11 Shelton State Lady Bucs rallied from an early 12-point deficit to defeat the ICC Lady Indians 77-72 on Monday Night.

Shelton State (6-0) took their first lead of the second half 64-63 at the 6:01 mark before ICC (5-2) made it a three-point game 75-72 on a three-point basket by sophomore Shay Booner inside a minute left in the game.

The Lady Indians missed a potential game-tying three with 27 seconds left in the contest allowing the Lady Bucs to seal the five-point victory from the charity stripe in the final seconds of the game.

Three Lady Indians finished with double-double performances with Jameika Hoskins scoring a game-high 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, Vechatita Bonner adding 13 points and 11 rebounds along with Shay Bonner's 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Last week's NJCAA DI Women's Player of the Week Precious Naylon added 10 points in the loss.

Meghan Dunn scored 18 while Jaliser Harper added 13 points for Shelton State.
