FULTON, MS – For the second-straight week, sophomore guard Jayla Chills has been named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Chills (Ripley) helped lead the Lady Indians (15-2, 6-0 MACJC North) to wins over East Mississippi and Mississippi Delta last week, averaging 26 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 assists and 1.5 blocks per game.
"It's a great honor," said Chills. "I have great teammates that go hard day in and day out. I have to also thank my coaches for working us hard for us to be able to have the success we've had so far this season."

"We're really excited for Jayla and the rest of the team," said Coach Nanci Gray. "Anytime your team gets honors like this it shows the caliber of kids we have playing here, the high level of success our players are producing while having a good time playing basketball at ICC."
The North Division leading Lady Indians will be back in action Thursday night when they travel to Coahoma Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 with the Indians are scheduled to follow at 8:00 p.m.
