The Lady Rangers missed a final-second attempt to pull off the upset, allowing the Lady Indians to escape with a 62-61 victory to remain unbeaten in North Division play on Thursday.

FULTON, Miss. – The Lady Rangers missed a final-second attempt to pull off the upset, allowing the Lady Indians to escape with a 62-61 victory to remain unbeaten in North Division play on Thursday.
Leading by 12 in the third quarter, Northwest heated up from three to make it a one-point game with less than a minute to play. An offensive foul on the Lady Indians gave the ball back to Northwest with 30 seconds left to play. ICC defense forced the Lady Rangers to take a timeout with 8 seconds to play. The Lady Rangers missed a contested lay-up and the Lady Indians walked-off the court with a one-point win.
Tabreea Gandy (Starkville) scored a team-high 17 with Shaniyah Buford (Abbeville) adding 15 points in the win.
